The Oman junior golf team is locked in and ready. After arriving in Cairo on 6 October, the players spent practice day getting to know the course. Today, Round 1 of the Pan Arab Junior Golf Championship 2026 gets underway.
Practice Day for the Oman Junior Golf Team
Practice day is where the real preparation happens. First, the players walked the course and studied every hole. Then, they focused on the greens, testing speed and reading the breaks.
In addition, the coaching team used the session to fine-tune each player's game plan. As a result, the squad heads into Round 1 with a clear picture of what lies ahead.
Opening Ceremony in Cairo
Later on 7 October, the team joined the official opening ceremony. Young golfers from 13 Arab nations came together to mark the start of the championship.
The event is hosted by the Egyptian Golf Federation, together with the Arab Golf Federation. Rounds take place at two venues: Madinaty Golf Club and Mirage City Golf Club.
Eight Players, Three Categories
Oman is represented by eight players this year. Specifically, three compete in Under 13, three in Under 16 and two in Under 21.
Moreover, results from the championship count toward the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR). So every shot in Cairo carries real weight for the players' development.
Round 1 Starts Today
